I grew up in Texas and graduated from Pottsboro High School in 1997. I attended Grayson County College for two years and then transferred to Texas A&M. I graduated from A&M with a degree in political science in 2002, and then attended graduate school at Michigan State University for 5 years. I graduated with a Ph.D. in political science from Michigan State, spent a year teaching at the University of Illinois and then was offered a position at Midwestern State University. I am very happy to be back home and enjoy teaching at Midwestern. We recently had our first child. Lydia was born on February 9, 2010. |

Hobbies and Free Time
My hobbies mostly involve sports or the outdoors. I also collect sportscards. I have a whole page set up for that which you can view here. I go fishing quite a bit, for many different kinds of fish, but my favorite is striped bass. Here are some pictures from recent fishing trips.
