About Me

I grew up in Texas and graduated from Pottsboro High School in 1997.  I attended Grayson County College for two years and then transferred to Texas A&M.  I graduated from A&M with a degree in political science in 2002, and then attended graduate school at Michigan State University for 5 years.  I graduated with a Ph.D. in political science from Michigan State, spent a year teaching at the University of Illinois and then was offered a position at Midwestern State University.  I am very happy to be back home and enjoy teaching at Midwestern.

Hobbies and Free Time

My hobbies mostly involve sports or the outdoors.  I also collect sportscards. I go fishing quite a bit, for many different kinds of fish, but my favorite is striped bass.  Here are some pictures from recent fishing trips.
